Why every year, are there arguments about when to have the heating or fire (or both!!) on?
I sit quite warm enough in a T-shirt whilst she shivers under a blanket in fleecy pyjamas.

I know from others this dispute isn't confined to our house, and admittedly it is getting cooler with some chilly nights, but why are women so nesh when it comes to the cold?

Exactly the same in our house....i sit around in shorts and T shirts whilst the wife is freezing cold.
Same here, I bake, and she freezes, I think its a genetic thing, to do with when they are carrying babies, they wrap up to protect the unborn,

Thats my theory anyway.
Surely you guys don't think we WANT to be cold natured do you? :) I am a fat old lady - and you know they say fat people are hot natured - but not this old lady - I am just as cold natured now as I have ever been in my life. I don't have any idea how we can change our internal thermostats, but if you guys can find a way, you will probably save a lot of couples from a lot of arguments!!!
I think it relates back to Stoneage man, when men spent all there time out in the wild conditions hunting, where as the women stayed in sheltered places near a fire. Female blood vessles are apparently closer to the skins surface so absorb heat & cold much faster depending on external temperatures. Where as male one's are deeper and not as exposed to the elements.
Dont know how true this is but it is what i have been led to beleive.

Who by, a woman?
Funny enough yes, lol so prob just an excuse for her been cold.
Could it be that men are inclined to resent paying the money ? Those who don't are probably in agreement wit spouses as to when to have the heating on. Conversely, do men who don't want heating, when the ladies do, complain whenever the weather produces temperatures above (say) 18 degrees and insist on installing airconditioning to cool down ?
