How do I get to Teesside park
I live in Acklam, Middlesbrough. I don't drive, and I need to be at Teesside retail park at 5pm on friday. Any ideas how I can get there?

Geta a 36/37/38 bus in the Stockton direction; every 7 or 8 minutes. Get off at the turning to the park (less than 10 minutes ride) and walk the last bit.
You could almost walk the whole journey - it can't be much more than 1 - 2 miles in a straight line, but there's the A19 and A66 to contend with as well as a river, looking at the map.

Go to www.streetmap.co.uk and search for Teesside Park. Acklam will be just off the map to the right.

To be honest, if you don't fancy the walk from the Stockton bus, I'd get a taxi - either all the way or from the centre of Middlesborough.

Depending on what part of Acklam you're in, there's a footbridge over the A19 which takes you right to Teesside Park.
It' s near an old club which shut down about 15 years ago but unfortunately I can't remember the name of it. If you want to look on a map the bridge I'm on about is somewhere near the end of Eckert Avenue. If you live near the Whinneybanks end it'll take you about 20 minutes walking.
Sorry I can't be more exact but it's 15 years since I used that bridge!
There are bus services that go into Teesside Park but it's really difficult finding them on the net. You're probably better off ringing Arriva and asking them, but it does look like you'll need two buses either way.

D'y' know, I know there are buses into Teesside Park coz I've seen people waiting at the bus stops but I can't find them for you on the websites.
I know Arriva have just altered all their routes, but I can't believe that they would totally ignore a shopping centre that size.
And yeah, I know what you mean about Whinney Banks!

Kissme: Dzug is rarely wrong (in fact, it's almost unheard of) and, regrettably from your point of view, he's not wrong here.
I've just spent ages checking all of the various bus operator's sites for the area, together with Traveline North East (which suggests that the easiest way to get there from central Middlesbrough is to walk - it estimates about a quarter of an hour).
It seems that there used to be a half-hourly bus service to Teesside Retail park but this has now been withdrawn. As Dzug states, the nearest bus routes are the 36, 37 and 38 services. It's not actually that far to walk into the retail park. You should be able to do it in under 10 minutes.
Good luck with the job interview!

Kissme, you've got me thinking now, wasn't The Roseberry the old pub on Acklam Road/Northern Road corner opposite the little kids' nursery? If not, what was that pub called? I only remember going in there once and it was rough as but I just can't remember its name.
The club I was on about stood on it's own in the middle of nowhere and you got to it by going down Maldon Road and down a little track over the fields. I can't remember the name of that either but I don't think it was The Roseberry. Could easily be wrong though. Good luck with the job BTW.

Yeah the Roseberry was just opposite Burlam Road, I don't think it's been shut for 15 years so I'm thinking of the wrong place. I live more near the green lane end of Acklam so still I don't think it would be that helpful, unless I could get a bus to this club and walk the rest of the way maybe.
Oh & thanks!
