Proven formulae. Therefore the accountants & bank managers love it. The fact it is un-imaginative & un-original is neither here nor there. The same sort of people are also responsible for funding of Die Hard II,III,IV.........IX and all the other "no brainer" film sequels that are essentially re-runs of the original.
