The player picked has a box with an unknown amount written in red or blue inside. Blue for low numbers and red for higher numbers.
They then have to try and eliminate from the game all the low numbers, keeping the high numbers (this is pure luck) The skill comes when you have to weigh up the bankers offer of a settlement against the boxes left in play. The banker will make offers of cash to the player to settle the game as opposed the player going on and risking the banker losing more money if the player picks the 250k box !!! Its all about deduction and trying to gamble aginst whats in your box in front of you or what the banker will offer oyu to stop playing and take what he offers.
A good game happens when the player gets rid of as many blue as possible. The banker then offers quite high and whether you take it or take whats in your box is the big decision. the big offer usually coes first and goes lower depending on what boxes have gone. Each game is different and each player plays differently.
Hope this helps. Google Deal Or no Deal and go to the fansites (not the gaming sites) and have a look on them for further details.
