What is a Churchill Crown?
4 Answers
Any coin collectors out there? My mate has a large coin that he calls a Churchill Crown. It is quite large. Much bigger than a normal coin. I think it was issued after the death of Winston Churchill in 1965. It isn't particularly in good condition. Any ideas if it's worth anything? Looking at it, I'd say it's worth about 5 bob!

According to Seabys ..mind you it is 1995 edition ...in that year ..worth 75 pence .
Even a swift rake round EBay has them only going for a couple of quid or a bit more as Buy it Now items.
It would have to be in tip top mint condition and even then it would get less than a tenner.

I had one, bought it when it was first issued, unfortunately, I showed it to my elderly aunt, and she thought i'd bought it for her, didn't have the heart to say I hadn't,
She passed away some years ago, but I never got it back, suppose another member of the family has it.
And as shaneystar says, they were worth five shillings
