getting a bank account

i have about �1300.00 going through my abbey basic account every month but keep getting turned down for accounts with solo and switch cards,i dont need an overdraft but want an account that i get a card i can pay for things in the shop and online with,when i have money in there.and maybe a cheque book too.could someone please email me back with an answer please.
