how to use nero

i am getting nero for my pc to copy dvds i have no idea what to do when i get it ,can someone in easy language tell me what i must do please after down loading it.

what types of DVDs ?... if they are copywrite ....
a - it's not legal
b - nero knows this and won't copy them
