why are they so actively web builbing in Autumn time? I have been 'snared' on a daily basis in the garden for a while now!! I love them all and hate to walk through their constructions and spoil them!! :-(

Apparently it is mating season so there are hundreds of them about at the minute!

that is also why at this time of year you tend to find more big ones wandering around your home. they are looking for a bit of 'ows yer father'
