I'm suddenly hearing different opinions on this: Do you place the shiny side or the dull side to the food?

I've always put the shiny side on the inside when i'm using it in the oven, for example when cooking veggies in a foil parcel, because my theory is that the shiny side will conduct the heat more effectively to the food, but then again my grasp of physics has always been a bit shaky......
