electric woks

Mornin all! Has anyone used an electric wok and if so, are they ok? I am thinking of getting one but am wary as there's so many on the market. For instance, does the temperature get high enough for good stir-frying and browning? Any input from wok-users will be welcome.

Hi Maz,I had an electric wok a few years ago when they first came out and didn't think it was hot enough for most stir frying etc. In fact my stir fries came out like stew so that's what I ended up using it for until the element burned out which didn't take long! They may have improved since then.
