Has anyone here been to Haven? If so, what site(s) have you been to and what did you think. Many thanks. Daffi x

H T H ?
Cayton Bay....site was a bit naff but entertaiment for children was very good, ok if you have kids but not if you are without.
Sorry forgot to mention that its near Scarborough.
Butlins, Pontins, Haven ... and Warners. Just dont. Haven't tried Butlins hotel(s) which at my age is the only accommodation I will consider in this country.

They are cold, depressing and contain certain types you would not normally encounter. Even my son, fairly well behaved, run amok on the Haven site where we had a caravan and nearly got thrown off. The same site where I had my car stolen. Where they had the hells angel convention. Where they set up a gate house to get in. Till they realised you only went in if you really had to and dismantled it.
My husbands best trip to such a venue was an all male jolly with the local junior football team to a tournament in Wales. The girls were at home, the boys were drunk, and the team did well. But he still recalls sleeping in his coat and wooly hat.
Rabbs you know you loves the reef now.

H 2 H : )
I have been spoiled. Corporate trips in 4 and 5 star hotels and foreign holidays in the sun.

Sounds like none of you like Haven! We went for the first time last year, we all enjoyed it. We are planning on going again this year but don't know whether to go back to the same site or try a new one, which is why I asked the question. x
We went to a Haven site in Dorset just outside Weymouth it was very good the site was called Seaview and yes you could see the sea if you stood on top of the caravan.
