Old film/ TV do you remember the name?

A young boy goes back in time to save his mother...in the past. If she is killed in the blitz he would never have been born? It was not recent. Any ideas?

That sounds like Terry Pratchett's Johnny And The Bomb. He tries to save his grandmother in the blitz to ensure his own mother is born. Was on TV in 2006ish

Johnny and the Bomb was certainly the drama I was thinking of. Great stuff!

I know people who consider Smokey and the Bandit to be recent, and others who think anything before last Christmas as old.
