i'm starting a degree in American studies next year and everyone keeps asking me what I plan to do with that. The truth is, I have absolutely no idea what I want to do with my life.
I just watched an episode of Buffy where they had to do a career test and was wondering if anyone knew of a website where I could do something like that, to see what I'd be suited for, to give me some idea.

Simpsons did a good skit on this in the episode where Lisa Simpson is diagnosed as potential 'homemaker' ("It's like a mommie, dear").
In UK I believe the 'Fast Tomato' website used by Connexions contains a similar database that tries to match your to training courses. I tried this resource a while back, inputting information that indicated I wanted to be and had the skills to be a technical translator - it gave me something like typing and office skills as my life choices.
If you have the time and can afford it, do your degree in whatever enthuses you. The future will belong to creative problem solvers. Just remember Buffy is a story, not real......!
