what are the laws and can i use the ashes for my garden

Most local councils will have a website and it will often tell you on there...or give them a quick ring.

Keep to some obvious rules:
1. Make sure the wind is blowing away from your neighbours.
2. Don't start them at weekends when neighbours are enjoying their gardens
3. don't burn anything that is wet
4. don't burn obnoxious substances
5. don't burn when the neighbours have washing on the line
As the rules occur most of the time why not take it down to the local council tip where it is free to dispose of.
