Hair Dye

Ive just dyed my hair yesterday but its too dark. Is it ok to dye it a lighter colour so soon?

Nooo!! Don't do it yourself, I'm not sure which way round it is whether light to dark or dark to light, but don't do it yourself. My mum did this and ended up with green hair!! You need a base colour on first, red I think. But do listen to me, wait till a hairdressor comes on to help you. Just wait. I don't want you to end up with pink hair or something!!

Oh and my friend recently went from red to blonde - she now has orange hair!! Luckily she isn't too bothered by it, but it doean't look great. - xx

A quick way to lighten it up is to use a shampoo that'll strip it a bit. My sister used to use fairy liquid in these situations although I used to use Vosene as it was a bit kinder. Wash it 2 or 3 times and it'll take the edge off it!

try to wash some of the colour out a bit if you can

Also you could try almond oil - thi is meantto reduce the darkness of it. as soon as i find some i will be using it but my hairdresser suggested it rather tham putting more dye on my hair....

Hi Jonnoman - get to the hairdressers! I did this and as mentioned above got Green Hair, I looked like Orville!!
Hairdressers put a base colour on to take out the colour (I panicked because it looked ginger!) then put a lighter colour on. Also put a treatmet on and luckily my hair was not damaged. I know its a pain but they know what they are doing. Hope OK!

I've had green hair as a result of trying to go from blonde to brown.

If it was a permanent colour then I suggest using Head and Shoulders to strip some of the colour first.
If it was only semi permanent then wash it as many times as you can to lighten the colour.
