I was under the mistaken impression that when Gordon Brown replaced Blair then Britain would decide its own foreign policy. Instead only today Brown is committing extra troops to go to Afghanistan and he said this within earshot of Bush who was satnding on the same platform. Is Bush a hypnotist or something? Why can't our Prime Ministers have some guts?
I always blamed the corrupt leaders of the developing countries to play like a puppit. Now when countries like Britian do the same thing then people realize why?
Afterall..............
You are either with us or without us and If you are with USA you are civilised, or else you are terroristis is working.
Bush couldn't hypnotise squat.
We're talking about a man who couldn't even find his way off a stage.
brown like Blair is getting something out of it. We shall find out what when he decides to bog off.
I agree with your answer Jake about the sharing of intelligence and weapon sharing. But by siding with Bush about the Iraq war and it was probably his decision alone then when he goes his administration behind him will change track and we may look rather stupid.
The USA may have more influence in the world but being allied to a bad regime tars our own credability especially with the incoming President. Triangulation makes us seem weak.
