I have just got broadband for the first time and I'm not sure whether I should disconnect the router from the mains when I switch my laptop off or leave it plugged in, Please can someone advise. Thankyou in anticipation.

I personally leave mine plugged in all the time, as does pretty much everyone I know

if you do unplug it then you will need to plug it back in a minute or so before turning your computer on so the router has time to boot up and connect before your computer tries to connect to it.

Probably easier to leave it on :)

Mine is left on 24/7 as my telephones work from it.

Yep, leave it on! Mine's been on for about 8 years and still going strong!
