Hi Im enquiring for my mother as she hasnt got internet access. She is 24 weeks pregnant, and on icapacity benefit at the minute. Was wondering if she is entitled to the sure start grant, and if her benefit will change to income support nearer the time the baby is born.
Any hel would be appriciated. Thanks

why did she get pregnant on incapity!!.wheres the father another tax suckrer!!!

actually he had a bad accident at work, and is starting back again very soon. and my mother can't work for her own safety!!!
She is better off asking her midwife or benefit office for the application forms, applying and seeing what they say.
There seem to be so many benefits about that all have different rules.
When your father is back to work, he will be the one claiming benefits if his wages are low.

Your mother will keep her incapacity benefit if she is still unable to work due to ill health. She won't be entitled to income support in her own right
i think she will be entitled to sure start grant and can apply 11 weeks before the due date. not sure about getting income support if your dad lives with her, although cant be sure.
