I posted a similar thread to this yesterday on adverts - it was horrible wasn't it? I flinched every time that poor girl got hit on the back of the head.

Very thought provoking and disturbing - I can't really see how it promotes hitting MsEVP - I think the playing it over & over & over was trying for the opposite effect. It certainly had an effect on me.

the advert does make you think about it.especially after all the recent news of baby peter and the girls in sheffield.

It just struck me (no pun intended this time) as sad that the slapping on the back of the head, the riducule, the overall nastiness seems to be second nature behaviour from some parents to their children these days.

Why have kids if all you're going to do is moan about them, slap them, abuse them, neglect them...?I hate that advert, but shall continue to watch it & urge others to too, because ads like that should be shown more often rather than the happy-family-round-the-breakfast-tale jolly scenario.

Salla sadly its the way i reckon.

Looking at the case of the girls whos father abused them its shocking also baby peter.
So i think that its more prevelant than u relise.
Sometimes i wish folk cared more about things like this , kids or adults being abused , rather thn the daily garbage about immigrants etc.

While next door some " nice " guy beats the livin crap outta his missus and kids eh ??
