3 internet dongle

does anyone have any ideas as to how i can get my 3 dongle to actually allow me to connect to the net? it tells me im connected but the signal strength is rubbish so i never get to browse. ive heard of putting the dongle into a tin can but havent tried it as yet!

They work where this a strong signal - if there isn't, it is rubbish.

Have you checked 3s coverage map? Put the postcode of where you are and see what it says:

knobby - it didn't work for me in most of Devon and Cornwall.

thanks for your imput. i guess its hit and miss with these things.ive had the dongle a week and had about 3 minutes surfing time!

I have heard putting it in a tin can boosts the signal. if you try this could you post a pic so I can see please?
