I am a freelance chef and work in different places. I have been covering a chef that is on holiday this week. Today I had to go wee and the restaurant doesnt have a staff toilet, very unusual these days, and you have to walk through the restaurant to get to the toilet. When I got back to my station after much hand washing, I was told I couldnt use the toilet whilst I was working. Doh. The customers wouldnt like it. Needless to say I told him to stick his job, and walked out. Best bit is they were so pleased with my work, I think his wife will give him h@ll as she said to him, Well done Graham .
Would customers prefer you to stand cross-legged & cross-eyed then?! Or stood with your hands between your legs cos somehow that makes you feel as though it's "holding it in"....
Or maybe you should have one of those mooncup devices but externally rather than internally.
Elfin safety & daft policies - don't they make you laugh.
we went to a kids play centre the other week and were going to have food there until mr CRX saw one of the kitchen staff in the loos, he used the urinal and then walked straight out without washing his hands!
Whoops cab, sorry:-(. 1 of my customers is a well known ar$ehole, he's had loads of tradesmen work for him. I've bit my lip on numerous occasions! He doesn't realise that I charge him at least a third over the odds.
Hiya cab!
That's bl00dy ridiculous, isn't there some law or other about supplying loos for staff? Good on you for having the balls to stand up to him
xx
