can anyone recommend a paint suitable for our front door, a nice shiny one please, we are situated on a busy main road,so we get lots of dust etc. many thanks in anticipation, also is yacht paint anygood?
Yacht paint and marine paint tend to be quite quick drying. For a good glossy finish, a slower drying paint is better, as it allows the brush marks to smooth out before the surface starts to set. Use an oil-based paint, avoiding any that say you can clean up using water. Remember that two thin coats are better than one thick one. As to brands, I've never had a problem with Dulux.
