If I bought a flat screen computer monitor, could I use it as a 2nd tv with a Sky aerial??  Would change channels from Sky box not tv?

No, the inputs on a monitor are different to that of a standard TV.

You can do the reverse if you have the appopriate output on your computer, these are relatively cheap to buy as an add on card.

You'd need an adaptor which isn't cheap.
