my mum booked a holiday but its not a abta the company as gone bust and she as paid �500 up to now how does she get her money back if its not with abta can anyone help us please

Did she pay via Credit Card... you may have some comeback if so...

she paid on her credit card over the phone
Someone more knowledgable will hopefully be able to confirm/correct this: I believe you can claim back from your Credit Card company...
as its over �100 the cc company should refund her, tell her to give them a ring

Alternatively, as others have indicated, a claim can be made against the credit card company. (Note that debit cards aren't covered).
