No, food does that.
If you're on a diet and getting hungry then eat a fruit that releases sugar slowly so you've a constant source of energy... Apple should do it... Make sure you're drinking plenty of water as feeling thirsty can mimic feeling hungry. If even with all that you're stil hungry then eat something as your body needs food. If you don't eat enough then your body stores fat which defeats the purpose of dieting.
Have an exercise programn in conjunction with healthy eating and you will lose inches and your body will change shape. Don't look for an easy way out (diet pills) and manage what you're shoving in your face and how long you're sitting on your butt and you'll be fine. (E.g. I've been sitting on my butt for the best part of two hours but I swam fifty lengths and did the grocery shop before I settled).
Make sure you have a few treats. Food is there to enjoy and not do battle with.
