just today my PC has started doing something strange.  when i right click on a link and click on 'open in a new window', the window opens this as the active window (as it should) but when i click on the original window below it, and it becomes active, the other one (the inactive window) stays covering half the screen!  should the active window not always be on top?  is this a setting ive changed by accident?

Clicking on the original screen doesnt work, nor does clicking on the tab at the bottom, i can only see the original screen by minimising the other one

I'm using IE6 on windows XP professional

i don't think you should be opening in a new window. Try whatever other option it offers you
forgot to say. try right clicking the task bar, bottom of screen, and select cascade if the previous thing doesn.t work
