P.S. My last post was in response to pasta regarding 'alkies' & the reasons for their drinking.

Although, I can't abide to see yobs or anyone else boozing on the streets, or in & around parks in the daytime. They scare me somewhat, 'specially if alone, or when I have the children with me. You just never know....
None of us are comfortable with that smudge.....mostly because it makes the drinkers seem very unpredictable....but most are harmless...dont hurt them...they wont hurt you. They have their own 'community-we are outsiders to the hardened ones. But they are all human.
Very sad........and different from the yobs on street corners who still have SOME controll over what they do.
Thank you pasta, I understand there is a difference between them. Although, some of the alkies who used to frequent the parks & local church gardens, did cause a few stirs. They used to beg money for booze from all & sundry & got verbally aggresive if asked not to loiter outside shops. They were eventually asked not to come within a five mile radius of the town, by the police.

Some yobs on the other hand, like to get drunk & cause mayhem wherever they go - full stop!
I live in the village where Fiona and her mum lived and I can honestly say that 30 years ago there was none of this. There might have been the odd fight but that was about it .At that time we had lots of shoe factories hosiery factories and you could get a job any where in any of them. But now there is nothing so unemployment has a lot to do with these kids . As in every town or village there are some areas that just seem to have lots of trouble. Luckily I am at the other end but they were a decent family as I do know them when my children went to school here. But over the past few years it has got bad here I for one would not dream of walking up the street late at night but it don't always need to be at night the trouble.I just wonder if the parent's know where their kids are half the time.

Are you suggesting there were no yobs when you were young zzxxee or simply that you had a "better" upbringing?
