The old Biddy and her daughter were trying to get to the hospital after Mel had been knocked out by Johnny Vegas. They couldn't find a taxi so persuaded a passing motorist to give them a lift. The guy turned out to be dangerous criminal. He kidnapped them in an attempt to force them to smuggle drugs through customs for him.
