Virus Software
Hi All
When I bought my new PC it came with a trail version of BullGuard. This is due to run out soon and to continue it will cost £30 p.a
My question is, should I pay £30 to continue with the protection or will the free version of AVG be just as good.
Can anyone recommend a good free virus protection I can download?
Thanks in advance

I'm currently recommending comodo free security suite as the best (IMHO) free one.
it's a good anti virus program, but being a full internet security suite it also includes a free firewall and anti spyware protection all bundled together.

Security is more than just anti virus.
If Bullguard is a full internet security suite, and you take it off and JUST put on AVG you are leaving yourself unprotected.
AVG (or Avast which I feel is better) both offer free anti virus, but you also need fiirewall and malware / spyware security.
Note Microsoft offer Defender which may already be on your PC, and Microsoft have also recently brought out Security Essentials which is also free.
