I have downloaded the free COMODO internet security .
However , it tells me that the virus signatures are not up to date .
When I click unto 'update' , it tells me to wait while the virus database is being updated and that it might take a few minutes .
It quickly races to 30% but stays at this figure for ages ( many many hours ) and doesn't move from the 30% figure .
I have attempted it several times, with the same result .
Can anyone offer any advice as to how I can get it updated ?
Unfortunately I have just Uninstalled Comodo in favour of Microsoft Security Essentials. Chuckfickens recommended Comodo and I was rather reluctant to remove it from my system.
However I did not have any problems updating Comodo, although it could take several minutes for it to do so. Stop the download and start again as it could be a little sluggish. Go into Miscellaneous section and click on Antivirus updates from there.
Bottom left of screen.
i had the same problem over and over with comodo update .i re-installed it took zone alarm off and used xp firewall and made no difference it just would not update .so i went back to avg ,no probs there
I've installed it for a couple of people and experienced the same problem. But found that patience is the answer - it only seems to occur for the very first update after an install, and usually if you leave it long enough, it suddenly jumps from 30% to complete.
