It's Sunday and it's raining quite hard and there is some snow in it too. At least it's not icy. there's always an up side! It might melt off some more of the snow. I hope so.

lol Filth! I use to work at Moston Mill ( Courtaulds ) which is also on the archive site. At Christmas time bottles of booze would come up hidden in the bobbins! Another era!

first year i worked there we had to work xmas or new year ( can't remember which )
everyone took a few cans in . one lad came in the tea bar and said some twonk has nicked my beer. someone said where did you put it , it was in one of the ice wagon's on the ground floor. it turned out a few of the lads had put there beer in the ice wagons to keep them cool.
the person working on the nitrators had gone down and charged the ice into the vessel .( he was a bit tipsy and never noticed )
there was half a dozen blokes with dip cups trying to fish party 4's out of the vessel before they exploded.

good morning to you all , have just been clearing snow fron the path,going to read paper ,and have a coffee now! built a small snow man with snow while i was shifting it. you are never to old to play in the snow. will be 70 on the 25th. x

Yep, use to be a nice place. As it is, it's ugly! The planners could still have had all the coffee shops ect without the wall! I have cine film of the gardens/ fountain with me and my brothers in front of it. I reckon Manchester Mets archive dept.would love to see it!
