I wondered if you cut out ALL fats in your diet, would the fat that has collected in your arteries disappear over a period of time or would it stay there....I know we all need certain amounts of fat, salt etc....but I just wondered if the fat that accumulates over time and it hardens - does it stay where its deposited ?

Ooooo, thank you Squad.....but people that have smoked and drank heavily all their lives and lived to be 99 etc etc...could genes determine how much fat one stores in their body ?

So genes could determine how much fat you store....so eating healthy and exercising and not having vices may or may not give you longevity....hmmmmmm....and quite right there are no calories in cigarettes - but the tar and nicotiene clog up your tubes...and as for alcohol - it is packed with calories....
however not FAT, which is what you were asking about
Question Author
i know this, but how then does smoking and 'booze' contribute to heart diesease ?
You people are WASTING TIME upon these discussions, except of just going into the body field to fix it!You can talk.Or You can walk. But why talk?Let's go walk.Talk is no use.For no walk there's no excuse.Because talk will not help.Only walk will save Your arteries.DO SOMETHING at last to save them!
I was lead to believe that bad cholesterol settles in the arteries but the good cholesterol cleans them up, is that not right?
smoking and booze also harden your arteries so they are not flexible any more
