Does anyone know why the store Etams is closing from a lot of the major towns around the country.

My mum told me they went bankrupt.

Can't compete with Primark I guess, Wigan has closed too.

I'm gutted. I love their clothes. Their selection for the uhem "larger" lady was always good value.

They've been bought out by Arcadia Group (Philip Green, always up at the top end of the rich list), and will become lots of new Topshops.

I noticed that both the one in newcastle and the one in Liverpool are becoming a monsoon.
