What's the best sites to look at when booking a beach hol over the Internet? It's for sept next year and would prefer something where I can book the transfers to and fro
the resort too. Are they easy to use and everything clear?
Also, any ideas on where to go? Two adults looking for somewhere with good weather, nice resort that's not too quiet but not ridiculously lively and anywhere considered! At as good a price as poss!!

Package holiday to Nerja is my recommendation.
If you want to do the traditional one week/10 day/fortnight in a resort then a package will probably be your best bet.
Raid your local travel agent for brochures, decide where you want to go and look online for the bargains.
If you want to stay longer, or go off the beaten track, then booking flights and accommodation separately will be better.

I've used this company, you can book everything, including transfers http://www.sunshine.co.uk/ Very easy to use too
It works, and you can get good deals, but it can be frustrating - so frustrating I prefer to go to a travel agent.
Most sites I've used don't do a basic feasibility check - for example - site asks you to choose destination, then departure airport.
You choose Lanzarote and Humberside.
You then select a load of other stuff - e.g. stars, number of nights, full/half board, dates, etc.
Site then spends 40-50 seconds (allegedly) searching for holidays, but eventually says "No holidays found".
The reason? there are no flights, ever, from Humberside to Lanzarote. You have to go from another airport.
Even though it would be simple for sites to restrict the list of airports based on the destination you've chosen, they don't.
There are a lot of other basic feasibility checks missing as well - e.g. Humberside to Jersey is possible, but only on Saturday - so if you choose a Friday departure date, you're b***ered.
