I recieved an email from customer services asking me to fill in form verifying my details within 24 hrs or my account would be permenantly deleted. Does anyone know if this is genuine email. TIA
Almost certainly not authentic!! just delete it, just be sure to log into your account periodically so it doesn't get deactivated, even if they do stop it you can reactivate it, but I'm sure that email is a hoax!!
Most spam mails are just generic like "dear hotmail user" or "dear customer". If they are not addressed to you and claim to come from a reputable source, delete them
Any links in a mail which you don't know about can be previewed by simply hovering your pointer over it, the left bottom corner of your browser will show where it will take you if you were to click the link. You can often tell by the url whether it is a genuine site or not.
