Ford mondeo alarm problem

Hi, The alarm on my old mondeo is beeping, on and off, even though all doors are locked etc.
I have looked in manual but doesn't say how to disable it (of course it wouldn't). Just says take to a dealer, but there isn't one near us.
Is there an easy way I can do this myself?

Going to see if the bonnet is the problem, it says if the seal is not fitted correctly it could set alarm off. Thank you for that link, very helpful. :)

I had a mk1 estate, the alarm horn was in the back, i just disconneced it!
