Ford Focus 1.6 Auto

Thinking of buying a 3year old Focus 1.6 Auto. Anyone know what they're like ?

I just bought a second hand Ford Focus 1.6 Manual and did a lot of research.

Both Which magazine and What Car gave the Focus very good reviews and felt they were a good second hand buy.

In fact the three second hand medium size cars that Which recommend are the Honda Civic, the Toyota Corolla and the Ford Focus.   

Which say the 1.6 LX five door is the best choice.

In What Car the choice for best Small Family Car by James May, Top Gear presenter, is the Ford Focus.

They give it a good review but say the automatic is "rather outdated" whatever that means.

I have a 2001 1.6 Zetec manual. I am about to chop it in as I really hate it. I must confess that I am not keen on that size of car - the only reason I bought it is because I got it very cheap.

 

Will say on the plus side that the handling is fantastic though - better than most cars I have had.

The focus is the worlds top selling car - its not perfect but nothing is. They are a good car in my opinion
