Also check out the Troglodite settlements of Matmata which were the film set to the Skywalkers' farm on Tatooine in Star Wars. Maybe take in a train ride through the rugged mountains on the old Ben's railway.

All in all, there's not a big pile to do, apart from some very good day trips which were organised through our travel operator.
There was a very good restaurant in the marina. Go through the entrance, down about 100m to the water and then go round to your right. It was towards the end, up some steps. If I remember correctly, the sign for it was green and white, but I have no idea about it's name - sorry!

Similar thoughts. The resorts can be a little false. Hotels often a good standard but service and food does not always match up with the star ratings. If you like to laze about round a pool you will love it. However as above travel around the country and your holiday will be so much better for the experience. Enjoy!
