Epson Stylus Photo 2400 Printer

I am having difficulty loading the disc for this printer on to my laptop. My laptop has Windows 7 and the PC is Windows XP. Is this a non starter?

The Epson website shows that the 'Web-to-Page' utility isn't compatible with Windows 7 but the latest version of the driver (issued in September 2007) is, as are the relevant versions of Epson EasyPrint and Epson Easy Photo Print.

Thanks so much for that Chris. I've downloaded it but I'll wait until tomorrow to see if I can print a letter off, as the printer is upstairs.

You must have got to my link just in time because it's now 'timed out' and is no longer accessible.

When you say that you've downloaded the files, I'm assuming that you've also installed them! (Yes, it's probably stating the obvious but not everyone realises that you need to double-click on the downloaded files in order to run the installation programs!).

I'll wish you good luck with the printing!

It is listed in my "All Programs" Chris and when I double click on it I get an Internet Explorer page about Epson Support. I don't think this is right is it, or do I have to have the printer connected to the laptop before it will run?

I'm not sure what you've actually installed there, Chrissa1.

As long as the DRIVER file has been installed (rather than Epson EasyPrint or Epson Easy Photo Print) your printer should work normally when you go to File>Print (or press Ctrl-P) within any program.

I downloaded the Printer Driver so I'll find out later this morning.

Yeah!!!! The printer worked beautifully Chris. It's odd thought that my laptop picked up the signal from the router downstairs and yet the PC stubbornly refuses to do so, even with a dongle. Thanks again Chris.
