what's a floral deck chair? I only know striped ones.
Question Author
Oh Dotty I sure hope you get a chance to sit in your new chair. Lets hope the summer comes back eh ?
Question Author
well I did try it out for 10 minutes late afternoon, popped into the kitchen to brew up and one of the cats was in it when I went back out, they obviously approved
very nice.......... be careful when you erect it dotty. ive seen some injuries where the fingers got caught......
Too late dotty. We've just had our summer. Two hot days and a thunderstorm. You probably missed it if you weren't watching carefully.
I have two garden chairs. green folding type, hardly used pristine condition. I must have had them for at least 6 years. Dust 'em down once a year then when we have had our two days worth of sunshine, put them back in their plastic covers and in the shed until next year.
deck chairs terrify me Dotty, having seen one collapse as a kid at the seaside and the "traditional fat lady" hurt, now I am that that fat lady and it aint going to happen to me, for many years now we have an arbor that I bought at The Southend Flower show and it has a drop down table so we can eat out there n the nice weather.I hope you will spend many glorious hours in your deck chair, but how on earth do you get up from them gracefully ?
That sounds rather nice, Dee Sa.
I know exactly how you feel, Dee Sa - but crane hire is so expensive these days.
Question Author
I've spent about 3 hours lounging gracefully in my pink floral deck chair this afternoon, partaking of several bacardis and listening to 4 Garth cds in a row, sheer luxury
was that inside by the fire or did you have sun?
Question Author
it's been roasting here, I've caught the sun on my arms, had me straw cowboy hat on so my face is ok, hottest day we've had here for ages
lucky lucky. Sort of mild and intermittently sunny here darn sarf, so no cowboy hats needed. Had a nice Bacardi Mojito though (ready made, I didn't have to mix it.)
