Just for information:

An atomic bomb is activated by nuclear fission i.e. splitting the atoms.
A hydrogen bomb is activated by nuclear fusion. i.e. fusing the atoms.
vimto - it's a bit late to say it but thank you for your explanation re the atomic bomb and hydrogen bomb.
