Three of my children are complaining of sore throats (ages 11, 6 & 4). They all have bad ears too. Apart from Calpol, etc what can I do to ease their sore throats? One is very croaky, one has a terrible cough and one (the eldest) is known to lay it on a bit thick. Thanks.
Gargling and spitting out with warm salty water can help.
They're too wee for soluble aspirin which can also help if gargled.
Would they tolerate steam inhalations with a towel over a bowl ?
Honey and lemon drinks too , if they'll take them. (Just hot water with honey and lemon juice in it.
