GRRR blooming geese flew into the wire, no electric this morning. In a blind panic wondering how i'm going to make bottles, use my microwave sterliser etc.
Also, did my usual of "oh no, can't use the computer, ok i'll watch the tv ... oh no, ok, i'll read my kindle .... oh no, ok i'll ring my mum ... oh no!"
It happened to me a while back, although I didn't need to make bottles, I went from Friday until Monday with no electricity. By Saturday I'd got used to it.
Makes you realise how absolutely dependent we are on electricity. The last powercut we had, the kids entertained us, it was quite amusing for the hour or so we had no TV, the only problem was that the candles caused some staining on my sanded glass window in the living room.
Could you pop to the shops (not easy with a wee one, I know!) or get someone to pick up some Milton to sterilise your bottles and some ready made baby milk?
Nightmare for you bednobs, if I could send you some of my electricity I would!
lol, no....I just took my phone to the shop and asked them to charge it. They've never asked me for the electricity back but I did say that if they ever needed a phone charging...
yep it's back on - my neighbour has a camping gas stove and knocked on the door to ask if i wanted a flask of hot water. Kindle has run out of battery chuck :)
Anyone remember that ABer a long while ago who found out that a tramp who lived in the wood at the bottom of his garden had tapped into his electricity supply?!
I always kept a portable gas stove in the house at least then you can boil a kettle. I have now got a gas hob as were I live we are used to power cuts. a couple of xmases ago we had a cut and everyone took their xmas dinner to the local pub where the manager agreed to cook them all for free.
