My brother asked me if his daughter can come to mine for a sleepover on the weekend. Bit cheeky.

Well, of course I said yes and she is apparently extatic. She clearly doesn't reliase I spend my Saturday night sitting in the conservatory smoking, reading books about weird people and talking to the cat.

So I need to think of things to entertain her. She is 7 (I think) and very creative. I am 28 and the most creative thing I ever did was stick some unpainted pasta in randomly on a piece of card 23 years ago and said it was a picture of my Dad.

What the can I do with her? Help!!

Our 7 year old granddaughter loves anything that's 'crafty' or creative. Jigsaw puzzles from the local charity shop for a couple of bob, collages out of things from the garden, cutting out things from magazines. etc.

Think I might go to hobby craft and see what fun, cheap stuff they have that will make her think I'm super fun.

She would absolutely LOVE them! Thanks Triggs.

sib, the cat will most likely be cowering in the corner once he realises there is a second human in the house.
Evian - go to Wilkinsons (if its still there), they will have loads of craft stuff that will be a load cheaper than Hobby Craft.

You need a few boring things as well in case she decides you're the coolest auntie on earth and wants to come every weekend!

Disney DVD of some kind has to factor in there somewhere.
My seven year old daughter would love to spend an evening having her nails
painted, making some sort of necklace/bracelet for herself and her best friend, followed by some sort of snack/chocolate whilst watching a DVD. (I don't do the nails thing, but my friend does my daughter's nails occasionally.)
