Icon has disappeared from Nokia Lumia 610 screen display

Can anyone tell me how to restore this, please? It's the IE icon that was there when I bought the phone.

can you find it when you go into your applications?

if so press on it and hold the phone should take you back to the front screen and then you can place it where you want

sorry i was assuming that most of the smart phones work roughly the same way

Pin an app
Select to go to the apps menu.
Select and hold the app, then select pin to Start.
