Cuddly Polar Bear

I saw this article in the Daily Mail today. The picture of the cut little bear on the operating table stunned me. I didn't realise that they were quite so big.

Polar bears are huge things...I remember the first time I visualised one in comparison to the size of my living room wall! They can be 8-10 ft long and 5ft at the shoulder (when they're on all four legs).
