I confess the apologists for this religion make me wonder why they don't see the harm it's done in some quarters, are you happy that they don't appear to care for homosexuals, and many women, who are ensconced in full burkha and veil, if you haven't seen that come to the capital. I find it quite hard to get my head around that anyone supports ANY RELIGION or indeed culture that treats people this way. You talk about the EDL, BNP, how many supporters do they really have, no where near i suspect the followers of Islam. As those of us who are constantly being labelled fascists don't seem to see the irony in that.

There are 1.75 billion muslims in the world and not all of them are terrorists. We in the UK have a small problem with a very tiny minority, mainly wahabis from Saudi and Pakistan. We should not ignore the threat of home grown terrorists, but preventing the majority of law abiding, innocent, orginary muslims from praying is not the answer.
Most of the funding for al qeada comes from Saudi Arabia, and we know where they get their wealth from.

And let me be clear, I do not support Islam, or any other religion. I believe people should have freedom to practice their faith freely.
You burkha point is a total red herring. That is traditional dress not muslim dress, and again is practiced by a very small section of Islam. To rally against a quater of the world's population because you don't like to see women covering their faces is irrational.

it is a form of dress for women that isn't small in number, but many, certainly in the capital, i can't speak for areas with high Muslim populations, but going on one or two on here who live in Brum or Leicester it might be the same. Who was especially talking about Saudi or other places, i wasn't, and it's not irrational, you are a bloke and perhaps don't care that some women do it because they fear reprisals, or that it's their culture, baloney. This is Britain, 2013, what would there be to fear, nothing, so why cover up. or indeed have segregation in their place of worship. That is what is irrational, you have your views, but i stand by what i said, that this exercise of opening doors to the Mosques will get people through them, but will anyone who is not of the faith, be converted or indeed have a truer understanding of Islam, i doubt it very much. I am a total non believer, religion has and still continues to divide people, you only have to switch on the news, or open any news paper.
