Overcoming obstacles.
if i wake up
I'm not sure you can measure your success by your friends. True friends will be there whether you are successful or not. They are mates because they are mates, not because of the measure of your success. Indeed, if they are friends because of your success, I wonder if they are true friends.

As to the rest, I suppose the best measure is "are you happy with your lot and could I actually change it?".
By being happy.

NoMercy, I commend you immensely, you've been through a lot but still come out shining as always.
I typed that ^^ with ASBO on my knee demanding a fuss. Now THAT's success!!!!
Seeing my children succeeding

Thanks, Society. I had to go through a CT guided steroid injection into the subacromial bursa today. Ouch !! :-(
For the uneducated can you repeat that in English NM.
Never really thought about it, but I would would say you could measure it by how happy you are with your lot.
Money goes up and down depending on your current situation.
If your friends have been created by your success, then i wouldn't really count them as true friends.
Ouch NM, that's no fun - still having physio on my shoulder, and its still sore, don't think the op did much.....
By seeing my children and grandchildren thrive.
Happiness, contentment.
...uh oh! ...looks like another cue for that John Lennon quote!
(Someone do the honours)
Yes I suppose all those things... And whether I like who I am or not, which mostly I do.

I consider myself pretty lucky in general though.
Jeza - it`s a steroidal (anti-inflammatory) injection into the shoulder

Ratters, what a great way to view and accept life. It must be a fulfilled one. Surviving in a rat-race in this dog-eat-dog world today life can be unpredictable and demanding.
Awlright, I'll bloody do it then (tchoh!)
"When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy.’ They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life".
Contentment and personal happiness. Money helps to be able to do things but ought to be a tool we can use towards personal fulfillment and not a destination we set up for ourselvesin terms of achievement or we will never be happy as that could be an unending road.
