Hi, Can anyone please recommend a good hotel, somewhere warm, which lays on entertainment etc for New Year's Eve? Not fussy where we go as long as it's warm, although in Europe please.

Warm, in Europe, on NYE? I would suggest Somewhere in Turkey.

Thanks for your answer but I don't like Turkey, wouldn't go there if you paid me. Wouldn't go anywhere where they would murder a 14 year old girl by burying her alive because she talked to a boy!! We were thinking of the Canaries or maybe Malta.

A quick google search turned this up:

2. WINTER SUN NEW YEAR, Crete
KAPSALIANA village is gorgeously restored and surrounded by quaint old villas.

Quaint ... Crete, Greece
The olive industry dominates the area and the village almost melts into the surrounding groves.
Crete stays pretty warm throughout winter with an average December temperature of around 15°C. You can get a three-day New Year’s Eve celebration package with a lavish Greek breakfast and gala dinner from £240.
While you’re there, you can also go to Mass at the historic Monastery of Arkadi, attempt a two-hour walk up the amazing Arkadi Gorge or visit the olive press which dates back to 1763.

better be on the Spanish coasts or maybe southern Italy or Malta/Crete/Cyprus, I suppose, but don't be too amazed if it turns out cold, warm weather isn't guaranteed north of the Med in midwinter.
Wherever you go in Europe, I doubt you'll be greeted by swimming costume weather. How about a little bit further - like Morocco?
Canary Islands would be my vote

Thanks everyone for your help. We think it will probably be the Canaries.
