I'm building a new bike and can't decide on the colour of the wheels. I can get the same style of wheels either in white or the same anodised blue as the headset.

As a guide the brake calipers and seatpost will be white.

The wheel skewers, seatpost clamp, bottom bracket and disc rotors will be the same blue.

Blue for me
Blue. Definitely
I vote for blue too. Will it have a basket on the front? That should be white.
Question Author
lol tilly!

Yes, I do keep leaning to the blue - just hope it wont be too much blue!
Respray it luminous orange or yellow with chrome spokes and large plastic crystal reflectors fitted into wheels.

Nobody would nik that - lol
Question Author
yes steve - the colours work well on that ride. But its an Ellsworth so you cant go wrong!
Of the two, I'd go for the blue as well. But given free range I think I'd go for something wacky like orange.

Please bear in mind that apparently I'm hopeless at picking colours.
Question Author
lol frank any input is good input!

I will try and stick to white/blue for the theme. The forks are black as they are CARBON FIBRE (lol, sorry, did I SHOUT that?) The wheel hubs and spokes are usually always black unless you custom build your wheel.

Just realised - both my bikes are designed in Yorkshire!
If it's not too expensive, what about keeping the spokes white and doing the hubs and rims in blue?

BTW, why has it got the inbred graphic on it?
I have a Pashley. Mine has a basket
Question Author
yes, I'd like not to have black spokes if the budget allowed. Its an Inbred frame Steve, will be building it as a single-speed. It will be my work commute bike and shorter distance XC.
Question Author
lol Tilly - does a Pashley come any different! nice ride have just googled them!
........and a leather saddle..............and a bell.
Question Author
they are the old bike manufacturers in the UK according to their website.

I bet HG Wells rode one when he observed; 'Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I have hope for the human race'
Question Author
oldest!
There you go then. Tilly to the rescue.
I'm sorry, Booldawg. I have killed your thread. I'll shut up now.
